Finding the old store
We are on the town side of the bridge, the low building with the deep verandah and the roller door still hanging in the frontage.
There is parking along the terrace and more behind the building, which is where everybody who knows the place leaves the ute.
If the front door is latched after eleven, knock. Someone will hear you over the fans eventually.
Driving
Parking behind the building, unmetered, well lit.
Walking
Ten minutes from either end of the terrace, flat the whole way.
Late
Knock at the front. We are open until the last hand plays out.
Four things worth knowing first
How late tonight can I still get a table?
Up to seven, and later than that if the week has been quiet.
Do you take a deposit?
Never. We write a name and a number on the pad, and the same number unwrites it.
Can I hold a card table?
Two of the six, for up to six players, until half past seven.
What about a big group?
Up to sixteen with three weeks' notice, and we will move the tables about for you.
